four years later: a college zine

For my Capstone project, I decided to express the creativity that may have been repressed throughout the years, and to write on a topic I know well: college. Throughout my time at the University of Michigan, I've often asked myself: Is college making me less creative? Does it really represent what they show us in the brochures? Should I eat the dining hall food, or nah?

To explore these various inquiries and the lessons I've learned along the way, I decided to target the niche audience of University of Michigan students and graduates through the zine genre, which consists of short, self-published magazines that often serve underground, radical communities. Zines are often handmade, alternative, and a little sloppy—everything I tried to encompass both in this project and (inadvertently) in my life.

Click the arrows below to skim through the zine, and witness the end-result of innumerable hours sitting at my desk, countless glue sticks, and gallons of Diet Coke. It was worth it.
